3. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
Not too complicated. Right?
quick, easy and delicious
I know I probably should have outgrown this by now, but somehow I'm always surprised when someone--or something--lets me down. If you are constitutionally optimistic, as I apparently am, you expect a certain something (call it quality functionality) from the things and the people that surround you, which in itself is not such a bad trait. But what accompanies sunny optimism all too often is the surprising disappointment that comes when something--or someone--fails you. You think to yourself, Well, I should have seen that one coming. But you never learn, and then it happens again. The upside is that you start to develop "The List". That is, the list of people and things that don't ever disappoint. There is something comforting about the old-faithfuls on The List; they bring their own kind of order to a messy world. Here, in no particular order, is a partial sampling of my list.
- Orbit Chewing Gum. (Mostly clean mint, but wintermint will do in a pinch.)
- Chrisian Louboutin Black Satin Pumps. (They cost my shoe budget for 6 months, but were definitely worth it. They go with everything and make even jeans look put together)
- Dial Antibacterial Deodorant Bar Soap. (In Spring Water scent...gotta smell fresh)
- The Dyson vacuum. (The purple one--no idea what model it that is. I wish it had a retractable cord, but you can't have everything you want.)
- Black Dior Diorshow Waterproof Mascara. (This is the only makeup I wear everyday other than the next item. Wash my face, swish on some lip gloss, and put on my Diorshow Mascara)
- LipFusion Color Shine. (I don't have naturally plump lips okay? I need this...)
- Anna Corinna Bag. (A leather bag so smart, it makes all others seem obsolete. I've always got alot to carry so I pack it all in here. Diapers, novels, cell phone, hairbrushes...you name it, it's in here)
- Peet's coffee. (Sometimes I plan my whole morning around this)
- Spri Xercise Ball. (Sometimes I can't make it to the gym or don't have time to run...this saves me)
- My dog Iggy (Man's best friend? More like woman's best friend)
- Scunci No-Slip Grip Hairbands (I may start out with my hair down most days but end up in a ponytail almost everyday and these never fall out, they also make the only bands that are in my hair color.)
- Nexxus Therappe Shampoo (I have to shower everyday, and this keeps my hair from drying out. Plus it has a DELICIOUS scent)
- Volvo SUV (It's navy blue and I use it to go everywhere...I've had it for three years now, and no problems. It also makes me feel safe knowing that there are more than 12 air bags protecting my kids and I)
What's the biggest leap of faith you've ever had to take?
Getting married. It's putting your faith entirely in another person, combining your own beings into one.
On monday the pair of sky blue Nike Air Max Torch II's that I had ordered from online arrived. I started by walking that evening after dinner for 30 minutes. Tuesday, I went for a 45 minute long walk in the morning, and another in the evening. Yesterday I did a 30 minute jog in the morning, and an hour long walk in the evening. I've been taking small steps towards being fit, and I'm happier than I've ever been. These are my sneakers. It is as if they were made for me, as if the shoemaker had taken a mold of my foot, and my body and my self and embodied it in this small piece of footwear. When I run in these, I feel free. World peace is a reality, and I am connected with earth. I guess its all those endorphins...
I arrived back from New York over a week ago, and was very busy towards the end of the trip, finding no time to write. I have also been busy for the past week with things at home...I just wanted to share the song: "Mrs. Robinson" performed by Simon & Garfunkle. Take a listen.
Today I took a tour of New York TV and Movie Sites. The tour was 3 1/2 hours, from 11 am to 2:30 pm approximately. We got to visit over 40 sites from TV shows and movies. I caught a glimpse of the restaurant used in Spider-Man; visited the apartment where Monica, Chandler and the other Friends live; went on location to the building where Grace on Will & Grace has her design studio, sat on the steps of the Cosby townhouse, went on location to the diner used in Men in Black, stopped in at one of the locations in Hitch, took photos at the firehouse used in Ghostbusters, and more! I took the tour from On Location Tours, Incorporated. They also offer Tours for sex in the city Hotspots, soprano sites, and central park movie sites. It was a fabulous tour. The tour is interactive, with sing-alongs, quizzes (with prizes for the winners) and extremely fun! I highly recommend the tour, even if you've been to New York City before - It's worth it just to learn about the city, seeing places you have seen in the movies, and learning about the movie and TV industry.
Sorry -- not into shopping, but I've enjoyed reading your tour through NYC. I moved here a bit ago, so... read more
